BOSTON, MA – The Boston Bruins announced today that the presale for the team’s official Championship season commemorative book “Full 60 to History: The Inside Story of the 2011 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins” begins Thursday, September 29 on BostonBruins.com/full60 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Fans who order the book on presale will have it shipped the week of December 12 in time for the holiday season.
Co-written by BostonBruins.com beat writer John Bishop and Assistant Director of Media Relations Eric Tosi and containing pieces authored by Owner Jeremy Jacobs, President Cam Neely, General Manager Peter Chiarelli, captain Zdeno Chara, Patrice Bergeron, Andrew Ference, Mark Recchi, Tim Thomas and Shawn Thornton, Full 60 to History gives readers unprecedented behind-the-scenes access into the Bruins championship season. Beginning with the team “picking up the pieces” after their 2010 playoff exit against Philadelphia, continuing through Belfast, Prague, across North America and to Vancouver for the unforgettable locker room celebration on June 15, Full 60 to History provides content that has never been seen or heard before. Exclusive insight into the trades that Chiarelli made (and didn’t make), intermission speeches from Head Coach Claude Julien, postgame talks that only those inside the locker room were privy to, the meaning behind the title of the book, and countless memorable conversations and moments of the 2010-11 season are all explained in full detail.
Fans and media can preview the eighth chapter of the book (which chronicles Game 7 against Vancouver) on the BostonBruins.com/full60 homepage beginning Thursday.
The first 10,000 copies of Full 60 to History will contain a piece of the championship flag flown over the Berkeley Building during the Bruins Rolling Rally Championship Parade as well as a commemorative opening night ticket. The book will retail for $49.99.
The Bruins will also produce 500 copies of a Limited Collector’s Edition of Full 60 to History. The Collector’s Edition features a leather book cover, a page signed by Neely, Chiarelli, Chara, Bergeron, Ference, Recchi, Thomas and Thornton and comes in a limited edition presentation box. The presentation box contains a piece of game-used net that was used in all Bruins home games during the Stanley Cup playoff run, a replica engraving of the Stanley Cup, a piece of flag flown over the Berkeley Building during the Rolling Rally Championship Parade, and a commemorative opening night ticket. The Collector’s Edition will retail for $479.99. The 2011-2012 Boston Bruins season is presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
