Massachusetts Lottery, Boston Bruins release new game; Reveal Huge Banner/Instant Ticket on TD Garden

WHAT: A 50-foot by 30-foot banner in the image of the new Boston Bruins instant ticket will be revealed on the east entrance of the TD Garden. The event announces the release of 2010 Boston Bruins, a new $5 instant game.

WHEN: THURSDAY, SEPT. 16 @ 2 P.M.
WHY: The new 2010 Boston Bruins instant ticket goes on sale Sept. 21 at 7,500 Massachusetts Lottery agents. The $5 game is expected to generate more than $40 million in sales and raise more than $6 million for cities and towns. The game also features about $31 million in prizes, including grand prizes of $250,000, game suite experiences, unique gear and five On Ice Challenges for up to $250,000. Since creating the sports-themed instant ticket market in 2006, the Massachusetts State Lottery has entered into partnerships with all four Boston-area professional sports franchises, selling more than $1 billion in tickets and raising more than $140 million for local aid.
