Lightning hit town tomorrow

by Staff Writer / Boston Bruins
Back from practice.

No changes in the lines for today.

White: Axelsson - Savard - Murray
Yellow: Sturm - Bergeron - Boyes,
Teal: Primeau - Mowers - Donovan
Gray: Chistov - Kessel - Tenkrat
Defense, Black Jerseys: Chara, Alberts, York, M. Stuart, Jurcina

In case you hadn’t heard, Nate Thompson was sent back down.

Paul Mara did not skate and was doubtful for tomorrow’s game.

Brad Stuart did not skate but is fine. He was given the day off and will play tomorrow.

Jason York is close to returning to the lineup, but is not certain for tomorrow.

P.J. Axelsson did skate and looked fine.

Both Tim Thomas and Hannu Toivonen looked sharp this morning.

Toivonen made a tremendous glove save to rob a forward during a drill, while that the other end of the ice, Timmy continued along the lines of his performance last night.

The best thing about Thomas is that he is ALWAYS the same.

Practice, games, win, lose -- he always throws EVERYTHING at the puck. Everything.

One of the more interesting moments during the session was when Coach Lewis had everyone on the ice, threw three pucks in different direction and yelled, "NO RULES."

The Bruins went everywhere scooping up any available puck and heading toward whatever goal was nearer.

Marc Savard had the goal celebration of the day when he corralled the puck and tucked it into the net with several other Bruins in hot pursuit.

He celebrated audibly and a bunch of players hit the ice to do push ups -- not sure why, but it was entertaining, nonetheless.

I’ll post some quotes and odds and ends later.
