The Bruins return to practice tomorrow afternoon, and as much as everyone needed the break to rest and recuperate (myself included), I for one am glad they will be on the ice as there is not a heck of a lot going on around here.
It’s downright lonely!Three good match ups in a row coming up: Saturday’s afternoon game versus Ottawa (in Ottawa), the New York Rangers game here on Monday and then Tuesday night in Buffalo versus the Sabres -- three pretty entertaining games leading into February, don’t you think?
Tickets for Monday are available online by clicking here.
Just looking at John Bucyk’s bio in the media guide -- 21 seasons with the club as a player and 50 years with the B’s all-told.
He is the team’s all-time leading goal scorer and second on the all-time scoring list behind Ray Bourque.
It’s just mind-boggling.
By the way, Tuesday, February 13 is “Hail to the Chief” Night! The Bruins will celebrate those 50 years with the organization by honoring John in pre-game ceremonies.
The Bruins will host the Edmonton Oilers on that date and tickets are available online by clicking here, at the TD Banknorth Garden Box Office, by phone at 617-624-BEAR and at all TicketMaster outlets.
After the couple of months that Phil Kessel has had, it was great to see the guy smiling last night during most of the YoungStars game. Couple that outing with his fine performances last week and Mr. Kessel is on a little bit of a hot streak -- that bodes well for the B’s.
Did you have any doubt that Big Z was going to win fastest shot? It just looked so easy for him.
If by chance you need another reason to watch the All-Star game tonight, the AP is reporting that Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin are going to be on the same line this evening.
