As a part of his continuing charitable initiative Patrice’s Pals, Bruins alternate captain Patrice Bergeron invites children from local hospitals and other organizations to experience a Bruins home game from his luxury suite. Children and their families receive goodie bags filled with Bruins memorabilia, a visit from the Bruins Mascot Blades and Bruins Ice Girls, as well as a feature on the Garden HDX. After the game, Patrice’s Pals are escorted to ice level and introduced to Patrice himself who signs autographs and takes pictures with his Pals.

COMMUNITY TICKET PROGRAM: For the entirety of the Boston Bruins 2014-15 regular season, Bruins Chief Executive Officer Charlie Jacobs is donating ten balcony tickets to every home game to children from charitable organizations across New England, who are invited to enjoy a Bruins home game from these donated seats.

Goaltender Tuukka Rask’s shutout of the New York Rangers on January 15 at TD Garden marked his second shutout of the season (11/18 vs. St. Louis, 2-0) and the 25th of his NHL career.  That ties him with Byron Dafoe for sixth place on the club’s all-time shutouts list.  With the win, Rask extended his point-streak to 10 games at 7-0-3, which ties his career best point streak of 10 games first set with a 9-0-1 record from March 2 – 30, 2014.

ANOTHER HELPING, PLEASE: Defenseman Torey Krug’s two assists on January 15 versus the New York Rangers extended his assist and point streak to five games, where he has accrued seven helpers during that stretch.  That is a career-high assist streak and ties his career-high point streak.  Per NHL PR, Krug is the first B’s blueliner to record a five-game assist streak since Kyle McLaren did from March 17 - 27, 1999.

In Thursday night’s win over the Rangers, forward David Krejci extended his point streak to five games with his second period goal, giving him one goal and five assists during that span. Entering the weekend, Krejci now his 2-8=10 totals in eight of his last nine games.

The Bruins extended their team winning streak to five games with their 3-0 defeat of the New York Rangers on Thursday night, matching their longest such stretch of the season from October 30 to November 10.

NESN reporters Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley and Guerin Austin will be covering the Bruins upcoming games vs. Columbus (1/17), at Dallas (1/20) and at Colorado (1/21). The tandem of Dave Goucher and Bob Beers will handle all radio duties on 98.5 The Sports Hub.

The last game the Bruins did not have 17,565 in attendance at the Garden was on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning (16,553).
