Beginning with Saturday, November 24's game against the Islanders, the Bruins will play 9 of their next 10 games away from the TD Banknorth Garden, including six straight from November 24 - December 5.  So far this season, the Bruins have posted a 6-7-1 record on the road.  The lone home game during this stretch is on Thursday, December 6 against the Canadiens.

Bears around town
12.04.07: On Tuesday, December 4 from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM, the Boston Bruins Foundation will host their annual Cardinal Cushing School Holiday Party at Legends Restaurant in the TD Banknorth Garden. The Massachusetts State Police, along with Boston Bruins alumni, will be on hand to pass out presents and welcome 200 students and staff members from the south shore based school.  Cardinal Cushing School provides a life-centered approach in caring for students of all ages who have cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities as well as providing support for their families.

12.05.07: Boston Bruins alumni, Bob Sweeney and Lyndon Byers will take part in Hanscom Air Force Base Heroes' Homecoming from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. The event honors Hanscom's Airmen who have recently returned from overseas deployments over the past six months (primarily in Iraq and Afghanistan). Families of those who have been deployed including those families without a loved one during the holidays because of deployment will also be honored.

12.05.07:  Boston Bruins alumnus Willie O'Ree will visit Ms. Tate's class at Clarence R. Edwards Middle School in Charlestown from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.  O'Ree is a guest speaker participating in the "Stand Strong" program- a character building program emphasizing teamwork, respect, responsibility and determination among young students.  (Clarence R Edwards Middle School 28 Walker St, Charlestown, MA 02129)

12.07.07: Karen Savoie and Alicia Chiarelli, wives' of Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien and General Manager Peter Chiarelli, respectively, will be at the Sumner Elementary School in Roslindale from 10 a.m.-11am. They will read to a classroom and distribute books as part of the ReadBoston Reading Is Fundamental program.

And another thing...
The Boston Bruins have partnered with Village Automotive Group for their Keys to Success program. The program aims to provide high school administrators with the tools to motivate students to achieve academic success. Students have the chance to qualify for various prizes by exemplifying achievement of success in areas such as grade point average, improved attendance, tutoring, and volunteer work.  The grand prize is a car courtesy of Village Automotive Group, The Bruins have partnered with the program to provide incentives and to be involved with in-school rallies and events.
