Thank you everyone, especially our First Responders and civilians who participated in the third annual BFit First Responder Challenge powered by National Grid & helped raise $500,000 for The Hundred Club of Massachusetts and the families of fallen first responders!
The money raised from the inaugural MR8K benefits the Martin Richard Foundation, whose mission is to provide opportunities for young people to learn, grow and lead through volunteerism and community engagement. On February 26, 2019, a check for a total of $125,000 was presented to the Martin Richard Foundation.
The Boston Bruins Foundation has teamed up with Patrice Bergeron and 98.5 The Sports Hub for the second annual Pucks and Paddles ping pong tournament. All proceeds raised benefited Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center and the Boston Bruins Foundation.
The Boston Bruins Charity Bag presented by '47 was a one-of-a-kind collection of Boston Bruins and Winter Classic themed memorabilia that supported two great causes. Each contained must-have items with proceeds that benefited the Boston Bruins Foundation and Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care.
2nd Annual Festival of Trees
The wives and girlfriends of the Boston Bruins participated in the 2nd Annual Festival of Trees his past holiday season. The trees contained a variety of items such as gift cards, autographed memorabilia and some of the players favorite items. The trees were displayed in game and available for auction. All proceeds went to the Boston Bruins Foundation.
The BFit Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament was successful in raising over $256,000 for multiple first responder based charities. The BFit Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament powered by National Grid is an event designed to bring together first responders to raise funds and awareness.
