HAZELWOOD, MO - Blues forward Jaden Schwartz joined his teammates for practice Thursday in a red no-contact jersey.
Schwartz, who injured his right foot blocking a shot on Dec. 16 in LA, has been upgraded from week-to-week to day-to-day.
“It was really good. He went an hour (in practice),” Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock said. “He went out early with the goalies and just shot pucks and skated and felt good. Then he skated for the first 20-something minutes of practice and did fine on that stuff.
“If he feels good getting off the plane and has a good skate tomorrow, he goes into that day-to-day mode. We’re hoping he’s really turned a corner and is getting close to ready to play.”
Schwartz has been on injured reserve since Dec. 17.
In 31 games this season, he has 11 goals and 16 assists (27 points).
