Offseason Questions with Glen Metropolit

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues
Blues forward Glen Metropolit sat down for a few minutes with St. Louis Blues Online to discuss the past season, the Stanley Cup playoffs and his offseason plans.

His biggest highlight from last season:

“It’s kind of tough to say. Just coming into the dressing room, meeting all the guys. Being a St. Louis Blue and putting the jersey on for the first time.”

What he’s looking forward to next season:

(Dan Hinote walks by) “I’m looking forward to coming back next year and playing with Danny Hinote (laughing). I’m just looking forward to hopefully getting another deal, coming back and being a part of this. We’ve got a good team here going forward and hopefully I’m a part of it.”

How closely he’ll follow the Stanley Cup playoffs:

“No. I hate hockey (laughing). Of course, I’m a fan and I love the game.”

His prediction for the 2007 Stanley Cup winner:

“Buffalo. I’ve got Buffalo out East and I think Detroit out West.”

His offseason vacation plans:

“I’ve got nothing. A couple of waterparks with the kids, maybe a trip up to Toronto to visit some friends and family, but that’s about it. Maybe play some golf."

Where will he be spotted this summer:

“You’ll find me at a soccer field. My daughter’s starting to play soccer. You’ll (also) find me at the golf course quite a bit."

If he could say one thing to Blues fans:

“Keep coming out and supporting us. It means a lot.”
