Offseason Questions with Curtis Sanford

by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues
Blues goaltender Curtis Sanford sat down for a few minutes with St. Louis Blues Online to discuss the past season, the Stanley Cup playoffs and his offseason plans.

His biggest highlight of the season:

“The whole year is a highlight. Playing in the NHL is a highlight. It’s the best league in the world. I’m playing with the best players. That’s probably the high point.”

On what he’s looking forward to next season:

“Coming back, having a really strong year and having an injury-free year. Having a breakout season individually.”

On how closely he’ll follow the Stanley Cup playoffs:

“I’ll follow it when it gets down to the last few teams.”

His prediction for the 2007 Stanley Cup winner:

New Jersey Devils.

His offseason vacation plans:

“I have a wedding in Scotland to go to. I’m looking forward to that. It’ll be my second time over in Scotland. I just love it there. It’s so scenic and refreshing.”

His offseason training regimen:

“I’m going to start to see a rehab specialist to work on my groin and everything right away. I probably won’t start lifting or do anything too physically strenuous for probably another three weeks.”

Will we find him in any major league ballparks this summer?

“I like hitting the (Toronto Blue) Jays game a couple times a year.”
