MacInnis Inducted into STL Hall of Fame

ST. LOUIS – A list of 16 individuals, including Blues Hall of Famer Al MacInnis, will be inducted as the second class of the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame on Tuesday night starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Millennium Hotel.


MacInnis was named the Blues’ Vice President of Hockey Operations on November 6, 2006 after retiring from a 23-year NHL career.

He spent 10 seasons with the Blues amassing 452 points (127 goals, 325 assists) in 613 games played. MacInnis finished his career with St. Louis ranking fourth on the Blues’ all-time assists list, sixth on the points list, seventh on the games-played list and third on the shots-on-goal list (2,266).

In addition, he was a 13-time NHL All-Star and currently ranks third all-time among NHL defenseman in points (1,274), assists (934) and goals (340) while dressing in the ninth most games (1,416).

MacInnis’ number 2 sweater was retired by the Blues on April 9, 2006 and he was officially inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on November 12, 2007.
