Blues defenseman Erik Johnson suffered a slight sprain in his left knee and is day-to-day, according to Blues President John Davidson.
Johnson collided with Red Wings forward Pavel Datysuk early in the first period of Wednesday's game. He was able to skate off the ice on his own but did not return to the game.
The knee is the same one Johnson had surgery on two seasons ago, when he missed an entire season. He was evaluated by doctors early Thursday in St. Louis.
Davidson said it's great news to the Blues, who have been ravaged with injuries lately.
