Ice Breaker Set for This Sunday

by Staff Writer / St. Louis Blues

Fans are invited to join the St. Louis Blues on Sunday, Aug. 30 from noon until 3 p.m. at Ballpark Village as we kick off the 2015-16 season with Ice Breaker 2015 presented by Bud Light and Phillips 66.

Be there to welcome back Vladimir Tarasenko, who signed an eight-year contract extension this summer. In addition, we'll welcome back captain David Backes, defenseman Alex Pietrangelo and introduce new forward Troy Brouwer, who will wear the Blue Note for the first time. Chris Pronger, who will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November, will also be in attendance.

The event is free and will also feature live music from the Charles Glenn Band, great prize giveaways and appearances from Louie, Blue Crew and Angella. Fans attending the event will get Ballpark Village parking validated FREE from noon until 3 p.m.

Ice Breaker 2015 kicks off with Angella, Louie and Blue Crew. Fans can put their slapshot skills to the test and play street hockey on our outdoor inflatable rink. In addition, fans will have opportunities to win great prizes and purchase team merchandise.

Enjoy live music from the Charles Glenn Band.

Blues broadcasters John Kelly and Chris Kerber hit the FOX Sports Midwest Live! stage. Guests include Vladimir Tarasenko, David Backes, Alex Pietrangelo, Chris Pronger and Blues Chairman Tom Stillman. New Blue Troy Brouwer will also be introduced for the first time as a Blue. We might have a few surprises up our sleeve, too.

The Charles Glenn Band takes the stage until 3 p.m. Fans are encouraged to hang out at FOX Sports Midwest Live! to cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals as they take on the San Francisco Giants.
