ST. LOUIS - Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock became the fourth coach in NHL history to reach 700 wins with Thursday's victory against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Hitchcock joins Scotty Bowman (1,244), Al Arbour (782) and Joel Quenneville (745) as the only coaches to reach the milestone. All four have coached for the Blues.
"It's been fun. It doesn't feel very long. I've really enjoyed most of the stops and I've really enjoyed working with this group," Hitchcock said after the game. "First thing is, it's the guy you work with: the general manager. That's the key. I've been really fortunate that way. And secondly for me, you have to have good teams."
This season, Hitchcock is on pace for his 10th 100-point campaign. He previously posted five 100 points seasons with Dallas, three with Philadelphia and one with St. Louis.
