by Chris Pinkert / St. Louis Blues

ST. LOUIS - With Saturday's 3-0 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchcock has moved into sole possession of fifth place on the NHL’s all-time regular season wins list with 685.

Hitchcock passes the late Pat Quinn, who was at 684.

Hitchcock said he had a lot of respect for Quinn, who passed away on Nov. 23, 2014 at 71 after a long illness.

“He was the best manager of people I’ve ever seen in my life,” Hitchcock said. “Whether it’s a manager or coach or anything, he’s the best manager of people I’ve ever seen. He was in some highly volatile situations with us, with the World Cups and Olympics, and he handled it perfectly every time. He was amazing.”
