Game Notes - Blues 5, Hurricanes 2

-The Blues snapped a three-game losing streak and pulled to within two points of Division-leading Chicago (83 pts), who beat Washington earlier today.  St. Louis improved to 5-4-0 in the second game of back-to-back sets this season
 
-Jake Allen made 32 saves - his fourth highest total in a road games this season.  Allen improved to 3-0-0 in his career against the Hurricanes
 
-Ty Rattie notched his fourth goal in his 13th game this season.  All four of his tallies have come over his last eight games
 
-David Backes buried his 16th goal and his third in his last five games.  Backes is now just one point shy of 450 for his NHL career
 
-Kyle Brodziak's third goal of the year was also his seventh career shorthanded tally and the second by a Blue this season (Alexander Steen).  Brodziak also added an assist for his first multi-point game as a Blue and the 42nd of his career
 
-Robby Fabbri posted his 15th goal of the year.  He is 15th rookie in franchise history and just the third in the last 20 seasons to reach the 15-goal plateau (Patrik Berglund 08-09', Jim Campbell 96-97').  Fabbri also notched an assist, giving him four multi-point games this season
 
-37 seconds after Fabbri's goal, Alex Pietrangelo buried his fourth of the season.  Pietrangelo also assisted on Fabbri's goal and he now has five multi-point games this season.  Today marked Pietrangelo's first game since returning from a nine-game absence due to a right-knee injury
 
-Scottie Upshall posted two assists for his first multi-point game as a Blue.  It was the 11th multi-assist effort of his career
 
-Colton Parayko tallied his 20th assist of the season.  He is just the sixth rookie defenseman in club history to post 20 assists, while his 27 points overall currently rank fourth on the franchise's all-time list amongst rookie blueliners

-Dmitrij Jaskin recorded his eighth assist...Magnus Paajarvi tallied his fourth assist...Patrik Berglund grabbed his 5th assist
