ST. LOUIS – Brad Boyes became the quickest Blues player since Brett Hull to score 20 goals when he tallied his 20th goal of the season on Thursday night against the Detroit Red Wings.
Boyes, 25, reached the 20-goal mark in just 31 games. Hull scored 20 goals in 29 games during the 1994-95 season.
The Mississauga, Ontario native, scored 20 goals once before in his career when he tallied 26 goals with the Boston Bruins during the 2005-06 season.
He was originally Toronto’s first round draft selection, 24th overall, in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
