Blues Recall Derek Armstrong from Peoria

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Wednesday the club has recalled forward Derek Armstrong under emergency conditions from the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.

Armstrong, 36, has played in 16 games this season with Peoria, registering 11 points (six goals, five assists) along with six penalty minutes.

Armstrong played in 56 games with the Los Angeles Kings last season, recording nine points (five goals, four assists) and 63 penalty minutes. The 6-0, 197-pound center has played in 471 NHL games, amassing 221 points (72 goals, 149 assists) and 353 penalty minutes.

The Ottawa, Ontario native was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the sixth round, 128th overall in the 1992 Entry Draft.
