ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has hired Rob DiMaio as a professional scout.
DiMaio, 40, spent last season scouting for the Dallas Stars. The Calgary, Alberta native retired from the NHL after the 2005-06 season, which he spent with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 17-year NHL veteran appeared in 894 career NHL games, recording 277 points (106 goals, 171 assists) along with 840 penalty minutes. DiMaio was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the sixth round, 118th overall in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
