ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced today the club has assigned defenseman Steve Wagner to the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.
Wagner, 23, has skated in 21 games for the Blues this season, recording eight points ( two goals, six assists) along with eight penalty minutes.
The Grand Rapids, Minnesota native made his NHL debut on Oct. 4 at Phoenix and scored his first career NHL goal on Oct. 20 against Minnesota.
Wagner ranks eighth in the NHL among all NHL rookies, averaging 18:23 minutes of ice-time per game.
He was signed by the Blues as un-drafted free agent on March 20, 2007.
