Hello, there. Just dropping by to remind you that Zach Werenski is good at hockey.
The 18-year-old has, by many accounts, been Lake Erie's best player in these Calder Cup playoffs, and he added to his already-impressive resume on Monday night in Grand Rapids.
Werenski, a Michigan native, recorded his 10th point of the playoffs - the overtime game-winning goal, no big deal - to send the Monsters to their first-ever Western Conference Final appearance. They'll head out to California later this week to face the Ontario Reign (AHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings), where Game 1 is Saturday night at 11 p.m. ET.
Get ready for some long weekend nights.
