February 21, 2003 – The Columbus Blue Jackets set a record for most penalty minutes in a game with 70 PIMs at San Jose. The Blue Jackets committed 16 penalties, including nine in the final 20 minutes which totaled 45 PIMs - the second most in one period in franchise history. The two teams combined for 108 PIMs in San Jose win.
February 17-23, 2006 – The Columbus Blue Jackets send four players to the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Turin, Italy and they compete between Feb. 14-25. Winger David Vyborny helps the Czech Republic to the bronze medal game, while Radoslav Suchy (Slovakia), Adam Foote (Canada) and Rick Nash also compete in the games with their respective countries.
February 20, 2007 – The Columbus Blue Jackets Rick Nash scores the 16th extra attacker goal in Blue Jackets history to tie the game at St. Louis. The marker comes with only :14 seconds left in the game and earns the CBJ a point. For Nash it was the fourth extra attacker goal of his career and he would add another a week later at Colorado. However, goaltender Fredrik Norrena gives up a shootout goal to Lee Stempniak in a 5-4 shootout loss.
