On Monday, Aug. 24, Blue Jackets forward Ryan Johansen swapped his hockey sweater and skates for a Cincinnati Reds uniform and baseball cap.
No, Joey didn't sign a secret contract with the Reds. The NHL All-Star was invited to throw out the first pitch at the Reds vs. Detroit Tigers game at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, and of course, he had to look the part.
The 23-year-old had the unique opportunity to take the field with the Reds before the game. Before stepping on the mound, Johansen hung out with the team, shagged some fly balls and fielded grounders.
But was his first pitch a strike?
