Will Weber, D
21 years old, 6-4, 225 pounds (Gaylord, MI)
Drafted in the second round, 53rd overall in the 2007 Entry Draft
Weber helped the Miami Redhawks sweep a two-game series against the Northern Michigan Wildcats, earning two blocks and a even plus/minus rating. With the sweep, the Redhawks now stand 7-1-1 on the season. Through seven games this season Webber has registered three assists and has a +2 plus/minus rating overall. As a freshman last year Weber scored three goals and added two assists for five points overall for Miami.
Cody Goloubef, D
19 years old, 6-0, 195 pounds (Mississauga, ON)
Drafted in the second round, 37th overall in the 2008 Entry Draft
Cody Goloubef helped lead the way for the Wisconsin's two game sweep over the University of New Hampshire this weekend. In those games Goloubef had one assist and registered a +3 plus/minus rating. So far this season he has scored one goal and tallied two assists for a total of three points, and a +5 plus/minus rating this season. Last year for Wisconsin he scored five goals and added eight assists for 13 points overall in 36 games as a sophomore.
Tomas Kubalik, C
19 years old, 6-2, 189 (Plzen, Czech Republic)
Selected in the fifth round, 135th overall, in 2008 NHL Entry Draft
Thomas Kubalik had a dominant outing Friday night against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, as the center scored a goal and contributed seven assists. Kubalik kept things going Sunday as he scored two of Victoriaville's three goals, including the game winner in overtime to help the club pull out the win. Kubalik had 10 points on the weekend and registered a +6 plus/minus rating in those two games. Through 17 games on the season he now has seven goals, 17 assists, and 24 points to go with a +8 plus/minus rating overall.
Drew Olson, D
19 years old, 6-0, 206 pounds (Brainerd, MN)
Drafted in the fourth round, 118th overall in the 2008 Entry Draft
Olson racked up his first point of his collegiate career last Friday as he contributed an assist to help the Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs win 4-1 over Clarkson University. Through eight games this season with the Bulldogs, Olson has registered 0-1-1 with a +2 plus/minus rating helping Minnesota-Duluth to a 6-2-1 record as a freshman. Last year for the Omaha Lancers of the USHL, Olson had two goals and six assists fro eight points in 39 games played.
