Jake Hansen, RW
19 years old, 6-1, 168 pounds (St. Paul, MN)
Columbus' 4th pick, 68th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft

Jake recently started his freshman year at the University of Minnesota where he is a member of the Golden Gopher Hockey Team. In eight games this season, he has registered nine shots and is still looking for his first collegiate point with the second ranked Golden Gophers. They travel to Denver this weekend to battle the University of Denver for a two-game set. Last year while playing with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL, Jake ranked second on the team and ninth in the league in scoring with 31-27--58 over 60 games.


Maksim Mayorov, LW
19 years old, 6-2, 187 pounds (Leninogorsk, Russia)
Columbus' 5th pick, 94th overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft

Mayorov continues to make the transition to America in his first season with the Syracuse Crunch. In 17 games with the Blue Jackets AHL affiliate, Mayorov is tied for third in points (11), second in goals (5), and fourth in assists (6).


Cody Goloubef, D
18 years old, 6-0, 195 pounds (Mississauga, Ontario)
Columbus' 2nd pick, 37th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft

Cody enters his sophomore season at the University of Wisconsin and looks to build upon the success he had as a freshman. Through 12 games this season with the Badgers, Cody is tied for fourth on the team in assists (4) and is still looking for his first goal of the season. Wisconsin travels to St. Cloud State this weekend for a two-game set. During the 2007-08 season, Cody scored three game winning goals for the Badgers, which ranked second on the team. He ended up finishing the year as one of six different Badger defenseman with 10 or more points for the season (10).


Nick Sucharski, LW
20 years old, 6-1, 165 pounds (Toronto, Ontario)
Columbus' 6th pick, 136th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft

Sucharski enters his senior season at Michigan State University with 57 points in his three year career for the Spartans. In 6 games thus far, Nick has tallied one assist. The senior has missed 6 games due to a shoulder injury and is expected to return soon. During his sophomore year in East Lansing, Nick tallied nine goals with 15 assists. Throughout his junior campaign, Sucharski upped his previous mark with 9 goals and 17 assists while winning 176 of his 332 faceoffs (53.0%). Prior to attending Michigan State, the Toronto native played for the Wexford Raiders of the Ontario Provincial Junior "A" Hockey League from 2003-05. During the 2004-05 season with the Raiders, Sucharski recorded 26 goals and 27 assists in 46 games.


Steven Delisle, D
18 years old, 6-6, 209 pounds (Levis, Quebec)
Columbus' 3rd pick, 107th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft

In ten games thus far with the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, Delisle has registered one goal and four assists while also logging 26 penalty minutes. Described as a "stay at home defensemen," Delisle will continue to go head-to-head with the elite forwards of the QMJHL.
