Nikita Filatov, LW
18 years old, 6-0, 172 pounds (Moscow, Russia)
Columbus' first pick, sixth overall, in the 2008 Entry Draft
Filatov returned to the Syracuse lineup on Mar. 11 after missing 11 of the previous 13 games with an illness. He wasted little time making his presence felt as he scored the game-winning goal in a 3-1 victory over Toronto. In the three games since his return to the lineup the forward has tallied two goals, both game winners.
Kevin Lalande, G
22 years old, 6-0, 180 pounds (Kingston, ON)
Acquired from Ottawa in exchange for a fourth round draft pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft
The newest member of the Blue Jackets earned the Reebok/AHL Player of the week award for his performance last week. Lalande went 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals against average and a .974 save percentage in three contests last week. In four appearances with the Syracuse Crunch, this season he has tallied a 3-1-0 record and has stopped 131 of the 136 shots he's faced.
Matt Greer, RW
23 years old, 6-1, 183 pounds (St. Paul, Minn.)
Columbus' eigth round choice, 233rd overall in 2004
The senior winger faces-off tonight against another Blue Jackets prospect in Jake Hansen as the two meet in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association's Final Five tournament. Greer has appeared in 35 games this season and has tallied four goals and two assists for six points for Minnesota-Duluth. In the two meetings against Minnesota this year, Greer has tallied one goal.
Drew Olson, D
18 years old, 5-11, 215 pounds (Brainerd, MN)
Columbus' fourth round choice, 118th overall in 2008
Olson has tallied one goal and six assists for seven points in 37 games this season. He tallied an assists on Mar. 10 at Lincoln to help the Omaha Lancers to a 7-1 victory and had a +3 plus/minus rating on Mar. 13 at Chicago in a 6-3 win.
