The Jackets are hoping to bounce back from an 8-1 loss to Nashville last night. Alexandre Picard accounted for the Jackets only goal, firing in his second of the preseason and second ever in the NHL.

The CBJ will look for more offensive production tonight, but will face a challenge in Blackhawks veteran goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin.

The Blackhawks, coming off a 26-43-13 season in 2005-06, aspire to climb the division and conference ranks and qualify for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time since 2002.

Up-and-comers Andrew Murray, Phillipe Dupuis, Mark Hartigan, Alexander Svitov and Geoff Platt are likely to see more time at center tonight for Columbus as Sergei Federov begins to mend from the shoulder injury he suffered Tuesday night against Buffalo. Federov is out 4-6 weeks. Complete Roster.

The game marks the second in a string of four straight preseason games for Columbus. Tomorrow night the Jackets will face off against the Blackhawks again – this time in Chicago – before returning home to play the Carolina Hurricanes, the defending Stanley Cup champions, at 6 p.m. Sunday at Nationwide Arena.

As always, Huntington Green Seats will be available for tonight's game and every game during the 2006-07 season. The Huntington Green Seats are 250 seats that are priced at $10 for every home game this season and are available only at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, two hours prior to game time. For tonight's game each person may purchase a maximum of four seats.
