It's Payback Time!!

by Jeff Rimer / Columbus Blue Jackets

December 17

Payback... at least that is the thought of Blue Jackets head coach Ken Hitchcock.

After the Jackets loss in San Jose Hitch circled today's date on the calendar. One, he felt the team played its best game since he stepped behind the Columbus bench and deserved much better than another one goal loss to the NHL's best team right there in the Shark Tank.

As Hitchcock would say... it's "o-zees" time at Nationwide and Blue Jackets should present their head coach with a birthday gift tonight... two points and a victory over the Sharks who have set an NHL record for the most points in League history after 30 games... with 52!!!!

No surprise but Derek Dorsett comes off IR and will play tonight with Peca and Boll, who by the way plays his 100th NHL game tonight.

Steve Mason gets the start with Pascal Leclaire scheduled to start tomorrow night in Dallas against the Stars.

One other note... the Blue Jackets announced today that O.K. Tollefsen has been placed on IR and will be lost for from between four and six weeks due to the need for knee surgery.
