COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets and White Castle have announced a new multi-year corporate partnership that is highlighted by a team-centered philanthropic program and name entitlement to the team's student ticket program and post-game radio show.
"We're excited to partner with White Castle, another hometown team in Columbus. We look forward to helping them grow their business and make a positive impact in our community," said Cameron Scholvin, Columbus Blue Jackets Vice-President of Business Development.
In support of the "Crave the Save" component of the partnership, White Castle has pledged to donate $10 to the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation for every home save made by Jackets goaltenders during the second half of the season. The donation will support Autism Speaks and the final tally will be announced during the final home game of the 2009-10 season.
The new relationship also gives White Castle name entitlement and product inclusion with on the team’s game-day student ticket program, "White Castle Rush CBJ presented by easycolumbus.com." The CBJ Rush program gives students the chance to buy specially priced student tickets starting at just $15 an hour before game time. The deal also includes a voucher redeemable for a White Castle Slider with each ticket purchased. Blue Jackets defenseman Rostislav Klesla helped kick off the program before a recent game by making a surprise visit to hand out free sliders to students waiting in the CBJ Rush line.
Additionally, White Castle holds title sponsorship of the "White Castle Post-Game Show" which can be heard following every Blue Jackets game on the Wheeling Island Hotel Casino Blue Jackets Radio Network.
White Castle owns and operates over 400 restaurants in 11 states. For those cravers not living within easy reach of a White Castle restaurant, our hamburgers can be found in the frozen food section of grocery stores across the country.
