COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed defenseman Rostislav Klesla on Injured Reserve, General Manager Scott Howson announced December 1. Klesla was injured in last night's game against St. Louis and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks.
Klesla, 27, has recorded two goals and six assists for eight points and 26 penalty minutes in 26 games this season. Columbus' first pick, fourth overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft, he has registered 38-85-123 and 482 penalty minutes in 470 career games.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks. Game time from United Center is 8 p.m. ET. The game will be televised live nationally on VERSUS.
