COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated forward Kristian Huselius off Injured Reserve and placed forward Raffi Torres on Injured Reserve retroactive to November 11, General Manager Scott Howson announced November 13. Torres is expected to be out at least one week.
Huselius has tallied five goals and four assists for nine points with four penalty minutes and an even plus/minus rating in 13 games this season. Last year, he ranked second on the club in scoring with 21-35-56, 44 penalty minutes and was +1 in 74 games.
Torres, who was injured in Wednesday's game against Detroit, has collected 8-1-9 and 10 penalty minutes in 17 games this season. He ranks second on the club in goals, while his four power play goals rank tied for 10th in the NHL. In his first season with the Blue Jackets in 2008-09, he notched 12-8-20 and 23 penalty minutes in 51 games.
The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they host the Anaheim Ducks.
