Hello there, offseason.
The Blue Jackets wrapped up their 2014-15 season last weekend with a shootout win on Long Island, and after that, it was time for exit interviews, press conferences and some answered questions headed into the summer. As the players disperse and recharge, the #CBJ online community was hard at work looking ahead to what should be an exciting season this fall.
So, as we all know, the Blue Jackets finished the season a tear (going 12-0-1 in their final 13 games) and set some franchise records along the way. Hey, three hat tricks too! Dan P. of SB Nation's Cannon blog breaks down some of the eye-popping numbers from the Jackets' recently-completed season.
One of the Jackets' trademarks this past season (and, really, the last two or three years) was a never-say-die attitude that allowed them to repeatedly come back in games and force some dramatic finishes. Brad Friedman of The Hockey Writers goes in-depth on that topic and reveals more about those relentless Jackets.
Another piece from THW here, as Mark Scheig assesses the damage left by the spring time storm known as the Columbus Blue Jackets.
No one really looks forward to the final game of the regular season - especially if your team isn't headed to the playoffs - but BS Hockey's Sam Blazer gives you some serious hope for the Jackets' future in the Game No. 82 edition of "The Aftermath."
Are the Blue Jackets ready for a full-time captain for the first time in three years? FOX Sports Ohio's Alison Lukan tackles the offseason's most popular topic.
