NASH OFF TO A FAST START
RW Rick Nash scored his 14th goal of the season in his 20th game Nov. 19 at Dallas. It is the quickest he has reached the 14-goal mark in his career. Last season he did not score his 14th goal until his 32nd game on Dec. 18 at Dallas. He has goals in seven of the past 10 contests and has collected 10-4-14 the past 10 games. He has tallied at least a point in 15-of-21 games to start the season, including seven multi-point outings. With 14-11-25 in 21 games this season, he ranks tied for sixth in goals and tied for ninth in points. He also is one of only two players (Ottawa's Milan Michalek) in the NHL who has scored multiple power play (three), shorthanded (two) and game-winning (two) goals this season

THE JUICE IS LOOSE
After missing the previous four games due to injury, LW Kristian Huselius returned to the lineup Nov. 13 vs. Anaheim and has been on a tear. He recorded his fourth multi-point game of the season with two goals and an assist, including the game-winner Nov. 19 at Dallas. He has points in four-straight games and a pair of multi-point outings in that stretch. He scored shorthanded and on the power play against the Stars. He is only the third player in the NHL this season to score a shorthanded goal and power play in the same game (Ottawa's Milan Michalek on Oct. 15 vs. Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby on Oct. 23 vs. Florida are the others). The shorthanded goal was Huselius’ first since Nov. 11, 2007 at Colorado as a member of the Calgary Flames. He has tallied 3-4-7 during the four-game streak to raise his season totals to 8-8-16 in 17 games.

TYUTIN HIS OWN HORN

He also had an assist Nov. 19 at Dallas and has points in three-straight games after being held scoreless the previous four games. The multi-assist game against the Oilers was his first of the season and first since Dec. 7, 2008 at Anaheim. He has recorded 1-10-11 in 21 games this season and ranks second among club defensemen in points. He has played 20-or-more minutes in every game this season and leads the club in ice time. Columbus is 6-1-2 this season when he registers a point.

Columbus was 0-for-7 in the previous three games, but is 7-for-18 (38.9 percent) the past four games. Columbus ranks second in the NHL in power play percentage (25.3 percent)… G Steve Mason is 7-2-3 this season when facing 25 or more shots compared to 1-3-0 when facing fewer than 25 shots.
