Hitchcock Closing In On 900 Games Behind the Bench: Head Coach Ken Hitchcock has compiled a 470-311-117 in 898 career games during his NHL coaching career. On Saturday in St. Louis, Hitchcock will become just the 20th coach in NHL history to record 900 games behind the bench.

Nash Having Club Record-Breaking Year: LW Rick Nash leads the Blue Jackets in scoring with 38-29-67 in 77 games. With three games left, he is three goals shy of matching his career-high and club record of 41 set in 2003-04 and one assist shy of his personal best of 30 set in 2006-07. He has already set career-highs in shorthanded goals (four, ties the club record set by David Vyborny in 2003-04), game-winning goals (six, one shy of club record of seven set by Nash in 2003-04 and Geoff Sanderson in 2000-01) and shots on goal (310, previous record was 286 by Sanderson in 2002-03. He also has six multi-goal games, which ties the club record he (2003-04) shares with Sanderson (2002-03).

Malhotra, Hejda Eye Club Marks: C Manny Malhotra leads the Blue Jackets and ranks second in the NHL in faceoff percentage with 58.7 percent. He is on pace to break the club record of 57.4 percent set by Kevyn Adams in 2000-01… D Jan Hejda is tied for 20th in the NHL and is tied for seventh among league defensemen in plus/minus rating at +20. He has been even or plus in 55-of-78 games this season, including 18 of his last 20 (+14 during that span). The club record is held by Ron Hainsey, who was +13 in 2005-06.

Trio of Players Looking to Play in All 82 Games: The Blue Jackets have three players – LW Jason Chimera, D Rostislav Klesla and RW Nikolai Zherdev – who have played in all 79 games this season. Over the course of six previous seasons, five players have appeared in all 82 regular season games – David Vyborny (2003-04, 2006-07), Chimera (2006-07), Manny Malhotra (2006-07), Geoff Sanderson (2002-03) and Luke Richardson (2002-03).
