Blue Jackets in the Western Conference Standings: With 70 points in 67 games, Columbus stands in third place in the Central Division and 11th in the Western Conference. The Jackets trail Vancouver and Nashville (tied for seventh place) by five points, sixth place Minnesota by six points and fifth place San Jose by seven points in the conference standings.

Jackets Ride Hot Road Streak, Look to Tie Franchise Record for Road Wins: Columbus enters tomorrow night's game at Calgary in the midst of playing eight of nine games on the road, which is not a bad thing as of late. The club has gone 7-3-2 in its past 12 road games, including a 3-0-1 mark in their past four, after posting a 3-7-0 record in its previous 10. With 14 road wins to date, the Jackets are one win away from tying the franchise record of 15 set by last season's club.

Vs. This Week's Opponents: Calgary – Columbus is 14-11-1all-time vs. the Flames, including 5-8-0 on the road… The Jackets are 1-1-0 vs. the Flames this season, with the road team winning each contest… The Jackets have won five of the past eight meetings… Edmonton – Columbus is 6-16-4 all-time vs. the Oilers, including 3-9-1 on the road… The home team has won all three meetings this season – Edmonton, 3-1, on Nov. 26; Columbus, 4-2, on Dec. 31 behind Rick Nash's second career hat trick; and Edmonton, 4-3, on Mar. 2… Tampa Bay – Columbus is 2-4-1 all-time vs. the Lightning, including 1-1-1 at home… It will be the first and only meeting between the teams this season… It also marks the first meeting between the clubs since Jan. 13, 2006 and the first meeting at Nationwide Arena since Oct. 23, 2003.



Zherdev Sets Career Marks in Assists and Points: RW Nikolai Zherdev had two assists Mar. 2 at Edmonton to give him three assists in his past two games and 3-7-10 in his past 12 contests. The assists were the 30th and 31st of the season (and 100th and 101st of his career), breaking his previous single-season best of 27 assists in 2005-06. It also was his 54th and 55th points of the season, setting a new career-high in that category. His previous best was 54 in 2005-06. He also is three goals shy of tying his career-best in that category. He has recorded 24-31-55 in 67 games this season to lead the team in assists, while ranking second in goals and points.

Nash Rides Five-Game Point Streak: LW Rick Nash has 7-4-11 in his past 10 games, after recording 2-0-2 in his previous seven contests. Nash has 35-21-56 in 65 games and ranks seventh in the NHL in goals. Nash scored the 150th goal of his NHL career Feb. 29 at Vancouver and has 4-1-5 during a current four-game point streak entering tomorrow night's game. He is one point, six goals and nine assists shy of tying career highs.

Miscellaneous Notes: C Andrew Murray has posted 2-2-4 in his past six games, after being held pointless the previous 11 games… D Dick Tarnstrom had a pair of assists Feb. 29 at Vancouver, his second multi-assist game since joining the Blue Jackets Feb. 1… The assists also snapped a five-game pointless skid… He has 1-2-3 in his past two games… LW Jason Chimera scored the overtime game-winning goal Feb. 29 at Vancouver… It was his first goal in eight games and also snapped a five-game pointless streak… He added a goal Sunday night to give him goals in consecutive games.
