Mar. 29, 2003 –
Geoff Sanderson tallied 4-1-5 and Andrew Cassels collected 1-4-5 to lead the Blue Jackets to a 6-4 win over the Calgary Flames at the Pengrowth Saddledome. Each player tied the franchise record for points in a game and Sanderson set a new mark for goals scored. Both records still stand.

Mar. 27 – Signed RW Cam Atkinson to a two-year entry level contract… Mar. 23 – Recalled RW Maksim Mayorov from the Springfield Falcons (AHL)… INJURY REPORT: LW Kristian Huselius (Feb. 18 at Chicago) is day-to-day… D Grant Clitsome (Mar. 19 at Minnesota) is day-to-day… D Anton Stralman (Feb. 27 at Nashville) is day-to-day… C Andrew Murray (Mar. 3 at Edmonton) is out indefinitely… LW Ethan Moreau (Mar. 22 at Colorado) is day-to-day… RW Chris Clark (Mar. 12 at Carolina) is expected to miss three to four weeks. Man Games Lost to Injury: 204.

Mar. 22 – at Colorado 5, COLUMBUS 4 (SO):
Daniel Winnik scored the tying goal with four seconds left in regulation and Milan Hejduk netted the only goal in the shootout to lift the Avalanche to the win. R.J. Umberger scored two goals, Derek MacKenzie added 1-1-2 and Jan Hejda chipped in 0-2-2 for the Jackets, while Matt Duchene scored twice for Colorado… Mar. 24 – at Phoenix 3, COLUMBUS 0: Ilya Bryzgalov made 28 saves and the Coyotes got goals from Michal Rozsival, Derek Morris and Mikkel Boedker to pick up the win. Mathieu Garon made 20 saves for Columbus, which outshot Phoenix 28 to 23 in the game… Mar. 27 – Vancouver 4, at COLUMBUS 1: The Blue Jackets fired off 40 shots on goal and held the Canucks to 24 but Cory Schneider's 39 saves were the difference for the NHL's top club. Chris Higgins tallied 2-1-3 and Mason Raymond added 0-3-3 for Vancouver. R.J. Umberger's goal at 11:07 of the third period spoiled the shutout bid.

Columbus signed RW Cam Atkinson to a two-year entry level contract on Mar. 27. The 21-year-old just completed his junior season at Boston College, where he registered 31-21-52, 28 penalty minutes and a +21 plus/minus rating in 39 games, leading the nation in goal scoring for the second-straight season. Columbus’s eighth pick, 157th overall, in the 2008 Entry Draft finished his BC career with 68-56-124, 86 penalty minutes and a cumulative plus/minus rating of +42 in 117 games. He had 30-23-53, 30 penalty minutes and was +26 in 42 games in 2009-10, helping the Eagles win the National Championship.

The Blue Jackets have gone 13-11-8 in their last 32 games, but are 0-3-1 in their last four… The Blue Jackets are 17-14-7 (41 pts.) on the road this season, breaking the franchise record for road wins in a season set in 2008-09 (16-18-7, 39 pts.)… Columbus has gone 0-4-2 in its last six home games after going 4-1-1 in its previous six at Nationwide Arena… Columbus is 10-3-2 against the Eastern Conference this season and has gone 37-16-8 vs. the East since the start of the 2007-08 season… The Blue Jackets scored two shorthanded goals at Colorado on Mar. 22, matching the club record for SHG in a game set on Mar. 24, 2007 at the NY Rangers… Since being held to a season-low 13 shots vs. New Jersey on Mar. 20, the Jackets have fired off 101 in their last three games (33.7) but have been held to five goals… Columbus has seven games remaining in the regular season – four at home and three on the road.

LW R.J. Umberger scored three goals in three games last week to raise his season totals to 24-30-54 with a team-leading seven power play goals, three game-winners and a +7 plus/minus rating in 75 games. He is one point shy of his career high (55 set last season) and two goals shy of his personal best (26 set in 2008-09). He has also played in 242 consecutive games dating back to Apr. 2, 2008 vs. Pittsburgh (with Philadelphia). He has played in 239-straight as a Blue Jacket, which is the second-longest streak in franchise history behind Jason Chimera's 243 games set from Oct. 9, 2005 to Apr. 5, 2008.

LW Ethan Moreau played in the 900th game of his NHL career at Colorado on Mar. 22. He has registered 146-137-283 and 1,090 PIM in 900 games with Chicago, Edmonton and Columbus… LW Rick Nash has tallied 3-7-10 in his last 11 games to raise his season totals to 32-34-66 in 74 games, giving him 30 or more goals and 60-plus points in four-straight seasons… C Derick Brassard has tallied 6-11-17 in his last 23 games… D Jan Hejda has collected 5-15-20 in 72 games, including 4-15-19 over the last 54 outings, and is one point shy of his career high of 21 set in 2008-09… C Derek MacKenzie, who has tallied 5-2-7 in his last 12 games, leads the Blue Jackets in plus/minus rating at +15. The highest plus/minus rating by a Blue Jackets forward is +12 (David Vyborny, 2002-03) while the club record is +23 (Jan Hejda, 2008-09).

The Blue Jackets players' wives and girlfriends will be holding a Build-a-Bear Raffle during Blue Jackets home games on April 1 vs. Chicago and April 3 vs. St. Louis. Fans can purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a unique stuffed animal complete with a voice message from your favorite Blue Jackets players. Raffle tickets will be sold for $5 each or five for $20 with proceeds benefiting the Blue Jackets Foundation and CHOICES, a local domestic violence agency.

Safelite AutoGlass presents the Blue Jackets Glass Shattering Hit of the Year. Eight hits have been selected and each week, two Blue Jackets go head-to-head with your vote determining who wins and moves on. The voting runs through April 8 when your votes decide the winner. Each week, one lucky voter will be selected randomly to receive a signed Blue Jackets jersey. Voting begins on Tuesday for this week's two semi-final match-ups featuring Jared Boll vs. R.J. Umberger and Marc Methot vs. Derek Dorsett. All fans who vote are eligible to win a Antoine Vermette-signed jersey.
