Dec. 31, 2007 – Rick Nash registered the 12th hat trick in Blue Jackets history – and the second of his career – with three goals to lead Columbus to a 4-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers at Nationwide Arena. He scored the game-winning goal with 3:21 left in the third period and added an empty net tally at the 19:50 mark to seal the win.

After Olli Jokinen scored on the power play at 16:34 of the second to cut the Columbus lead to 2-1, Rostislav Klesla sealed the win with an empty netter at 19:02 of the third… Dec. 23 – VANCOUVER 7, at COLUMBUS 3: The Canucks scored three goals in the first and led 6-0 by the 12:46 mark of the second period to win going away. NASH, UMBERGER ON NHL ALL-STAR BALLOT
LW Rick Nash and LW R.J. Umberger are among the 100 players who appear on the 2011 NHL All-Star Fan Balloting, which takes place Nov. 15-Jan. 3 at NHL.com and Facebook.com/NHL. Fans can select up to six players by position -- three forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender -- without regard to the conference in which their teams play for in the 2011 NHL All-Star Game presented by Discover, which will be held at RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C. on Sunday, Jan. 30. The three forwards, two defensemen and goaltender with the most votes will be named First NHL All-Stars. The remaining 36 All-Stars will be named by NHL Hockey Operations.
