The Columbus Blue Jackets begin preparations for their sixth National Hockey League season with the opening of training camp on Friday, Sept. 15 at Nationwide Arena and The Dispatch Ice Haus. All practices held at The Dispatch Ice Haus will be open to the public. Click here

Players will report for physicals at Grant Medical Center and undergo strength testing at Nationwide Arena on Thursday. There will be photo opportunities during the strength testing at Nationwide Arena and players will be available to the media at the conclusion of their workouts between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Blue Jackets President and General Manager Doug MacLean and Executive Vice-President and Assistant General Manager Jim Clark, along with Head Coach Gerard Gallant, Assistant Coach Gord Murphy, Assistant Coach Gary Agnew, Goaltending Coach Clint Malarchuk and the club's scouting staff, will welcome 59 players on the first day of camp.
The first six days of camp will consist of all players being divided into three groups – Teams A, B & C – with each day featuring practice sessions and off-ice workouts. Following the first six days, the players will be divided into two groups for practices and off-ice workouts between Sept. 21-24. The players are then scheduled to practice as one squad during the remainder of camp.
Blood Drive Set for Thursday – The Blue Jackets and OhioHealth have teamed up with the American Red Cross for a blood drive to be held at Nationwide Arena (inside the Front St. doors) from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Thursday.
