Blue Jackets to host Nationwide Night feat. Columbus Zoo & Aquarium on April 4 & Fan Appreciation Night on April 6

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today a pair of upcoming promotions with Nationwide Night featuring the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium on Friday, April 4 and the club’s annual Fan Appreciation Night on Sunday, April 6.

Friday, April 4 vs. Chicago Blackhawks at 7 p.m. – Nationwide Night featuring the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

Fans are invited to check out several animals from the zoo in a display area on the main concourse and enjoy a special appearance by Jack Hanna, director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Additionally, fans will have a chance to win passes to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay during several in-game promotions.

Sunday, April 6 vs. New York Islanders at 6 p.m. – Fan Appreciation Night

All fans in attendance will receive an official team poster courtesy of The Columbus Dispatch while kids, ages 12 and under, will also receive a set of Upper Deck Blue Jackets player cards. The pre-game festivities kick off at 4 p.m. on the Front Street Plaza where fans can enjoy games and entertainment. Doors to Nationwide Arena open at 5 p.m.

Once the puck drops, fans can expect numerous giveaways, text-to-win opportunities and in-game promotions featuring a plethora of prizes from Popcornopolis, Carolina Nut Company, Papa John’s Pizza, OhioHealth, Cold Stone Creamery and Pepsi. The night will also include the annual “Jerseys off Their Backs” promotion that gives everyone at the game the chance to win game-worn jerseys directly off the backs of the Blue Jackets players on the ice immediately following the game.

The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes. Game time from PNC Arena is 7 p.m. ET. Live coverage on FOX Sports Ohio HD begins with the Blue Jackets Live pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m. The game will also be broadcast live on the Blue Jackets Radio Network, including flagship station 97.1 The Fan in Columbus, and online at BlueJackets.com.
