Blue Jackets Recall Tom Sestito from Syracuse (AHL)

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Tom Sestito from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus’ American Hockey League affiliate, General Manager Scott Howson announced Sunday.

Sestito, 22, has collected five goals and three assists for eight points and 64 penalty minutes in 16 games with the Crunch this season. He ranks second on the club in goals, while his three power play goals are tops on the team. He has recorded 20-31-51 and 434 penalty minutes in 134 career AHL games. He made his NHL debut with the Blue Jackets against St. Louis on April 6, 2008 and registered 17 penalty minutes in the game.

The Blue Jackets return to action Monday when they host the Edmonton Oilers. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
