Blue Jackets Re-Assign Nine Players In First Training Camp Roster Moves

COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets made their first roster moves of training camp by re-assigning nine players, team President and General Manager Doug MacLean announced today. The following players were assigned to their respective junior clubs today:  goaltender Dan LaCosta (Barrie/Ontario Hockey League), left wing Jared Boll (Plymouth/Ontario Hockey League), right wing Petr Pohl (Acadie-Bathurst/Quebec Major Junior Hockey League), and defensemen Kyle Wharton (Sault Ste. Marie/Ontario Hockey League), Justin Vienneau (Shawinigan/Quebec Major Junior Hockey League), Kris Russell (Medicine Hat/Western Hockey League), Adam McQuaid (Sudbury/Ontario Hockey League) and Derek Reinhart (Regina/Western Hockey League).  In addition, right wing Kyle Musselman was assisgned to the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus' American Hockey League affiliate.
