Blue Jackets' Players and Wives Host 'Hockey Fest' Family Carnival

The Columbus Blue Jackets players and their wives will host the first-ever Hockey Fest family carnival to benefit the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 1-6 p.m. at Nationwide Arena. General admission tickets and VIP packages are on sale now at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, The Blueline team store, all Chiller locations and through Ticketmaster. Children age three and under are admitted free.

Hockey Fest offers activities for fans of all ages including carnival games hosted by the Blue Jackets players and their wives; locker room tours; penalty box photos; live and silent auctions of Blue Jackets, NHL and other sports memorabilia along with a kids-only auction area. In addition to the wide variety of interactive games and attractions taking place on the floor of the arena, fans can also watch a live broadcast of the men’s hockey Gold Medal game from the Olympics in Torino, Italy on the center-hung video scoreboard.

The auction will be highlighted with a variety of items including the following:
1) Trip for two with the team for the game in Dallas on April 11
2) Four tickets for Mr. McConnell's suite for Mar. 9, 2006 vs. Phoenix Coyotes
3) Game used and autographed Adam Foote stick (Easton)
4) Two glass seat tickets and Center Ice Lounge passes donated by Rick Nash for the Mar. 7, 2006 vs. the Chicago Blackhawks.
5) Bobby Orr White Autographed replica Jersey
6) 2005-06 Team autographed helmet
7) Game worn jerseys from Luke Richardson, Jody Shelley, Dan Fritsche, and Manny Malhotra
8) Autographed Pittsburgh Penguins Sidney Crosby replica jersey
9) Game worn and autographed Jody Shelley gloves

General admission tickets are $10 in advance ($15 at the door) and children age three and under are free. Booth tickets for select attractions are sold separately at the event. In addition, VIP ZAMBONI-GATE ticket packages are available for $200 per person or $1,000 for a group of eight. This exclusive package includes a private hors d’oeuvres reception with the Blue Jackets team captains and coaches in the Center Ice Lounge from 1-2 p.m.; a locker room tour and photo; a premium commemorative gift and ten carnival game coupons.

Tickets are on sale now at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, The Blueline, the Blue Jackets Zones at Chiller Dublin, Chiller Easton, Chiller North, all Ticketmaster ticket centers, by phone at (614) 431-3600 or via the internet at In addition, tickets will also be sold at all Blue Jackets home games at the Foundation table located near section 110.

The mission of the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation is to utilize the unique resources of its professional athletes, players and coaches to improve the quality of life throughout the community. The Foundation dedicates time, resources, and financial support to organizations committed to meeting the educational, cultural, health and wellness needs of its citizens. A primary focus of the Foundation is its Stick with Kids initiative in which a strong emphasis is placed on its main pillars: the fight against pediatric cancer; the health and safety of today’s youth; education, and the development of youth hockey. Since its inception in March 2000, the Foundation has awarded more than $975,000 in grants in support of local non-profit organizations that serve the Foundation’s pillars of giving.
