Filatov’s goal at 19:32 of the second period cut the Wild lead to 2-1 and Nick Holden scored midway through the third period to force overtime. David LeNeveu stopped 14-of-15 shots and two-of-three shootout attempts in relief of Mathieu Garon (14 saves-15 shots) to earn the win in net… Sept. 30 – Columbus 4, at Minnesota 2: The Jackets got 1-1-2 from Samuel Pahlsson and Ethan Moreau and 24 saves from Steve Mason en route to the win. Fedor Tyutin and Jakub Voracek added goals for Columbus, who held a slim 27 to 26 edge in shots on goal… Oct. 1 – at Washington 5, Columbus 3: Eric Fehr tallied 2-1-3 and Alex Ovechkin added 0-3-3 as the Capitals scored three times in the third period, including an empty netter, to earn the win. ARNIEL SET FOR HEAD COACHING DEBUT
Scott Arniel was named the fifth head coach in Blue Jackets history on June 8 and will be making his NHL head coaching debut Friday vs. San Jose.
