BLUE JACKETS FIFTH ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC SET FOR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 AT DOUBLE EAGLE CLUB

COLUMBUS, OH - The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation Golf Classic, the foundation's largest fundraising event of the season, is set for Friday, September 16 at the exclusive Double Eagle Golf Club. Attendees will have the opportunity to golf with Blue Jackets players and broadcast personalities in support of the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation.
As a special bonus, each foursome will have the opportunity to meet legendary NHL Hall of Famer Bobby Orr. Proceeds raised from this event will be distributed to local charities in support of the Foundation's thee main initiatives: fighting pediatric cancer, education and children's health and safety.
The two-low-net ball per hole tournament includes a draft party luncheon, golf cart and greens fees, dinner banquet, and an exclusive gift package. The cost per foursome is $8,000 or $2,000 per individual. Each foursome will be paired up with a Blue Jackets player. The Draft Party Luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The overall winning foursome will have the honor of having their names etched on the Foundation Golf Cup that is housed and displayed in Nationwide Arena.

The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation is dedicated to utilizing the unique resources of its professional athletes, players and coaches to improve the quality of life throughout the community.
