COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned defensemen Tim Erixon and Cody Goloubef to the American Hockey League’s Springfield Falcons, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.
Goloubef, 24, has appeared in three games with the Jackets since being recalled from Springfield on Jan. 25 under emergency conditions, recording one hit, one shot on goal and two penalty minutes in 31:53 of action.
The 6-1, 195-pound blueliner has scored six goals and dished out 14 assists for 20 points in 41 games played with Springfield this season while also registering a +9 plus/minus rating and 61 penalty minutes.
Columbus’ second pick, 37th overall, at the 2008 NHL Draft, Goloubef has registered 1-0-1 in 15 career appearances with the Blue Jackets and 17-45-62 in 176 career AHL games. He was named to the AHL’s 2014 All-Star Team on January 9 along with teammate Frederic St. Denis.
Erixon, 22, has registered 4-20-24 and a +4 rating in 27 games played with Springfield in 2013-14. He skated in two games for Columbus earlier this season, recording one blocked shot, one hit and one shot on goal in 28:41 of action. In 51 career NHL appearances with the Blue Jackets and Rangers, Erixon has tallied 0-7-7, 24 penalty minutes and a +4 rating. He has registered 12-74-86, 90 PIM, +18 in 118 career AHL games with the Falcons and Connecticut Whale.
The Blue Jackets will next hit the ice on Thursday, Feb. 27 for a road game against the New Jersey Devils.
