Blue Jackets activate Jared Boll off injured reserve

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated right wing Jared Boll off Injured Reserve, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today. Boll has missed the last 11 games after suffering a foot injury while skating in his 500th career NHL game vs. the St. Louis Blues on November 17.

Boll, 29, has registered 18 penalty minutes and a -1 plus/minus rating in 12 games this season. He has posted 26-33-59 and is the Blue Jackets’ all-time leader in penalty minutes with 1,152. The Charlotte, North Carolina native was the club’s fourth pick, 101st overall, in the 2005 NHL Draft.

The Blue Jackets return to action tonight when they host the New York Islanders. Game time from Nationwide Arena is 7 p.m. ET.
