COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Columbus Blue Jackets have placed center Andrew Murray on injured reserve retroactive to October 20, General Manager Scott Howson announced today. He is expected to miss at least four weeks.
Murray, 27, has registered one assist in six games this season. Last season, he collected 8-3-11 and 10 penalty minutes in 67 games with the Blue Jackets. He ranked third on the club with three game-winning goals, while setting career highs in goals, points and games played. Columbus’ 11th pick, 242nd overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft, he has tallied 14-8-22 and 22 penalty minutes in 112 career NHL games.
The Blue Jackets return action Wednesday when they host the Phoenix Coyotes. Game time from Nationwide Arena is set for 7 p.m. ET.
