COLUMBUS, OHIO – The Columbus Blue Jackets hold the rights to seven picks, including the eighth overall pick of the first round, at the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft, which will be held at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. The first round of the draft will begin at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT on Friday, June 24, with rounds 2-7 held on Saturday, June 25, beginning at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT.

Draft Party: The Blue Jackets will host their annual Entry Draft Party on Friday, beginning at 6 p.m. on the floor of Nationwide Arena. Fans are invited to watch live television coverage of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft on VERSUS while George Matthews, Bob McElligott and Bill Davidge, alongside Blue Jackets Radio Network host Mark Wyant, will anchor the radio broadcast live on 1460 ESPN starting at 7 p.m. In addition, Jeff Rimer will contribute analysis and interviews direct from St. Paul. The festivities are headlined by player appearances by Matt Calvert, Derek MacKenzie and 2010 first-round draft pick, Ryan Johansen, who will be on hand to sign autographs and participate in the Select-A-Seat Open House where fans can check out available seat locations for ticket plans starting at less than $15 per game for the 2011-12 season and talk to ticket representatives.
