Columbus' Anson Carter scored his second goal of the season vs. Edmonton on Friday, Nov. 10. What was so significant about the goal? It was the club's 1000th goal as an organization. Here is a break down.

1000 – The Jackets scored their 1000th goal on Nov. 10, 2006 vs. Edmonton. It was the Jackets' 424th National Hockey League game.

579 – The number of five-on-five goals scored by the Jackets.

553 – Goals scored at Nationwide Arena.

447 – Goals scored on the road.

317 – Number of power play goals the Jackets have scored.

223 – Goals scored in 2005-06, a franchise record. (eight shoot-out goals scored)

213 – Goals scored in 2002-03.

190 – Goals scored in the inaugural season of 2000-01.

177 – Goals scored in 2003-04.

164 – Goals scored in 2001-02.

94 – David Vyborny holds the franchise mark with 94 goals in his career.

93 – Rick Nash's career goal total.

80-19-11 Jackets' record when scoring three or more goals in a game.

62-29-15 – The Jackets record when scoring the first goal of the game.

44 – Goals scored by Nikolai Zherdev.

39 – Rick Nash holds the club record for power play goals. Nash leads the team with three power play goals this season.

27 – Goals scored by Espen Knutsen, the Jackets' first all-star and the NHL's all-time leader in games played, goals, assists, points and penalty minutes amongst Norwegian-born players.

22 – Rostislav Klesla holds the record for career goals by a defenseman.

21 – Overtime goals, the most recent of which was scored in the season finale vs. Dallas last year, when Sergei Fedorov scored his 14th overtime winner for a 5-4 defeat of the Stars. At the time, Fedorov tied Mats Sundin for the all-time NHL mark in overtime goals.

20-112-25 – Jackets' record when scoring less than three goals.

15 – David Vyborny holds the club record with 15 game-winning goals.

14 – Goals scored by Ohio born players (Dan Fritsche-8, Mike Rupp-4, Brett Harkins-2).

12 – Extra Attacker goals. Columbus has lit the lamp 12 times when their goalie has been pulled. The Jackets most recently accomplished the feat on Apr. 18, 2006, in the season-finale as Mark Hartigan scored with 57 seconds left vs. Dallas to force overtime.

11 – Hat tricks. Tyler Wright had the most Hat Tricks in a Jackets uniform with three. Only two defensemen, Deron Quint and Bryan Berard, have recorded Hat Tricks.

10 – Amount of time, in seconds, in which the fastest goal to start a game was scored in franchise history (Rick Nash vs. Pittsburgh on Jan. 11, 2006.)

9 – Shootout deciding goals, the most recent by Manny Malhotra on Friday, Nov. 3, in a 5-4 victory over Calgary.

8 – Players have scored 20+ goals in a season. Only David Vyborny (3), Rick Nash, Geoff Sanderson and Ray Whitney (2), have scored 20+ goals in a season more than once.

7 – Most goals scored in a game, which has happened four times, most recently, vs. Los Angeles on Feb. 8, 2006 in a 7-4 win.

5 – Most goals scored in a period, which occurred on Mar. 15, 2003, vs. Minnesota in the first period.

4 – Columbus has scored four penalty shot goals. David Vyborny is the leader in that department and remains a perfect 3-for-3 in penalty shots for his career.

2 – Most goals scored by a rookie in a single game. The feat has been accomplished three times, most recently by Nikolai Zherdev on Mar. 21, 2004 vs. Vancouver. Also the number of goals scored by Blue Jacket players in the Winter Olympics (Radoslav Suchy and David Vyborny, one each).

1 – The Jackets' first goal was scored by Bruce Gardiner on Oct. 7, 2000.
