NHL Network™ today announced its coverage plans for the Conference Finals round of the 2011 Stanley Cup® Playoffs, beginning with a special preview show on Friday, May 13.
NHL Network will host a one-hour NHL On The Fly: Conference Finals Preview show from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. ET. Host David Amber will mediate an all-goalie panel with regular contributor Kevin Weekes and special guest analyst and Chicago Blackhawks netminder Marty Turco, who also will be joining the NHL On The Fly cast throughout the Conference Finals.
The preview show, which will also be streamed live on NHL.com, will include special features on top playoff performers, player interviews, predictions, keys to playoff success and historical moments from the first two rounds of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Just as during the first two rounds of the playoffs, NHL Network’s daily signature show -- NHL On The Fly -- will be on the air in the evening to keep audiences up-to-speed on all the news and notes from each Conference Final game. Each night, NHL On The Fly Pre-Game Show will be live from 6:00 p.m. until the puck drops on the evening’s game to provide fans with highlights, player interviews and game previews as the final four teams drive toward the Stanley Cup Final. NHL On The Fly will also be on air immediately following the game with game analysis and coverage of post-game news conferences.
During the course of the Conference Finals, NHL Network also will provide live coverage from every game, with special daily news updates from on-site reporters in each NHL market.
Fans can also catch the popular NHL Network program, NHL Live! each afternoon Monday-Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. ET. The interactive show, which incorporates fans voices from a social media and phone call perspective, takes viewers beyond the ice with access to players, coaches and management while preparing for upcoming games.
